1975 Bricklin SVI - $19,900 - Allentown, PA - 7,250 original miles!!
An amazing survivor car, sold new in Easton, PA the car has never been more than 80 miles from the original dealership. It appears the dealer did not sell the car until 1985. There is some documentation of the history including; the original window sticker, a letter from the Bricklin Owners Club congratulating the new owner on his purchase in 1985, a service receipt from 1985 noting the mileage as 500, the service record from earlier this year noting the mileage as 6991.
The car was revived earlier this year from a long period of storage. All fluids and belts were replaced, the brakes were completely serviced, the fuel system was serviced and carburetor rebuilt. The car runs very well. We put about 200 miles on it this season and it performs well for a Ford 351 engine. I had the exterior professionally detailed and the finish came right up but I have been driving the car since the detailing.
There are a few things that have been changed over the years, some of which count as improvements; the hydraulic doors have been updated to pneumatic and the pump has a switch on the dash and the radio was changed. I believe the steering wheel is not stock but I could be mistaken about that one. I’m told the center console has been replaced and this was the “good” replacement style. The carpets were replaced with the proper type and color. Otherwise the car is fairly unmolested.
This car is not perfect. There are signs of some minor body repairs, one on the lift gate and one on the hood and one at the corner of a front fender. These appear to have been minor issues but the repairs could have been better. There is a crack/chip on the edge of the left front wheel opening. Otherwise, the body is amazingly good for a Bricklin. The panels don’t appear to have the warping that is so common on these and the panel gaps are not bad for a Bricklin.
The car comes with factory owner’s manual, factory service manual, factory parts book and the paperwork for the radio. The keys are the original Bricklin script keys.
I think this car could be detailed further and made You want a low mileage example with documentation and paperwork, this is the car for you.
